Mike's quintessential clawhammer banjo. The "Standard" has a gorgeous mahogany neck on a black-painted, 11- or 12-inch rim with a brass tone ring.

The Standard in stock is flamed maple. This model usually has a 3-piece mahogany neck, with a dark stain.

The scooped ebony fingerboard has Mike's "shooting star" inlay at the 5th fret, in addition to MOP dot position markers.

The peghead is a Mike's classic shape, and has his trademark Saturn inlay inlay.

Mike has used 5-Star planetary tuners on the maple-necked banjo in stock.

The 11-inch maple pot is painted black, and has a rolled brass tone ring for a nice, plunky, OT sound (the one shown is a 12-inch pot).
